Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen Gets New Trailer
During its Capcom Spotlight TGS 2026 broadcast, Capcom released a new trailer for Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, its upcoming expansion to open-world action RPG Dragon’s Dogma 2. The expansion will release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 9, 2026, alongside a Nintendo Switch 2 release of both the game and the expansion.
The Dark Arisen expansion takes players to the abandoned northern region of Norgan. Players join up with Eir to uncover the secrets of the undying Fallen Dragon. During their expedition, players will need to unearth forgotten relics, which unlock new weapons and skills. The expansion also includes twelve new Lost Rites dungeon challenges, which grants rare equipment once held by past Arisen when beaten. It also adds new character creation options, including new hairstyles and tattoos.
Finally, Capcom announced that the “Character Creator & Storage” tool previously available on other platforms is now available on Nintendo Switch 2. The tool allows players to create and save designs for their main character and main Pawn, which can be transferred to the full game. The tool will also be updated on other platforms to reflect the additional creation options coming with the Dark Arisen expansion.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 takes place in a parallel world to the original Dragon’s Dogma and Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen. Players control a customised character known as the Arisen, a champion whose heart has been stolen by the Dragon, and are joined by up to three NPC Pawn allies.
