RPG Maker U2U Steam Page Released
Gotcha Gotcha Games has published the Steam page for RPG Maker U2U, the latest title in the RPG creation suite series. The page provides some new screenshots, plus a few extra details and clarification on its use of Unity, including that it will support eight-direction movement as opposed to four-direction movement of previous RPG Maker titles.
RPG Maker U2U is currently in development for PC, with a release window not yet announced. RPG Maker U2U will feature new 3D-style environments that it dubs Perspective 2D. Users will be able to edit these new maps, which feature a fixed perspective, using a map editor that lets them place down pre-built or custom-created objects, as well as shape the terrain. It will include over 100 pre-built maps, with 2D assets from previous RPG Maker titles able to be used as decorations.
