Genshin Impact Version Luna VII Launching May 20

HoYoverse announced that its Version Luna VII update for free-to-play action RPG Genshin Impact will release on May 20, 2026. Also known as “Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana”, the update sees the main story take players back to the nation of Sumeru as it is plunged into a new crisis.

The update adds three new playable characters: Nicole, Lohen, and Prune. Nicole Reeyn is a 5-star Pyro Catalyst wielder and the first
playable mage from the Hexenzirkel. Lohen is a 5-star Cryo Polearm wielder and Vice Captain of the Knights of Favonius’ Fifth Company. Prune is a 4-star Anemo Catalyst wielder and  a self-proclaimed Witch Hunter certified by Alice. Nicole and Prune will join in the first half, accompanied by a rerun for Durin, while Lohen being introduced in the second half along with a rerun for Mavuika. Other content includes a limited-time event centered on Klee’s Little Hexenzirkel as well as a special sports festival in the Miliastra Wonderland.

Genshin Impact originally released in September 2020 and is available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, iOS, and Android. Players control a character in the world of Teyvat known as “the Traveler” and must embark on a journey to find their missing sibling. They are joined by NPC companion Paimon, travelling in a party of up to four active members.
