Dragon Quest XII New Subtitle, Development Restart Revealed
Square Enix marked the 40th anniversary of Dragon Quest with a new video from game designer and series creator Yuji Horii and executive producer Yosuke Saito. In the video, the pair discussed the latest mainline entry in the series, which was initially announced as Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate in 2021.
The game has undergone some challenges during its creation, which has led to a restart in development under a new structure. To go with the change, the team has refreshed the game’s logo and changed its title to Dragon Quest XII: Beyond Dreams. While neither details about the game nor a release window were revealed, Square Enix did provide a first look at the game, including showing some of its apparent main characters.
