My first answer was Baten Kaitos, but there’s already two light novels based on the series. Both are different retellings of the first game’s events. I think more books that focus on fleshing out the world, maybe fill in the gaps between the first game and the prequel, or even serve as a sequel to the first game would be amazing. There’s such a rich world there, and I doubt we’ll ever get a new Baten Kaitos game.
For a game that doesn’t have a book based on it, I would pick Arc Rise Fantasia. There’s a rich world and a bunch of great characters I’d like to see fleshed out.
Final Fantasy XIV has so much neat lore and history, it would be cool to have that in a fancy bound collection I can flick through to read about bit pieces of the world. Really, some sort of Encyclopaedia about Eorzea. Oh…
