Utawarerumono: Past and Present Rediscovered Releasing in May

Aquaplus announced that it will be releasing Utawarerumono: Shiro e no Michishirube on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 in Japan on May 28, 2026. In addition, the game will be released worldwide for PC via Steam on the same date by DMM Games and Shiravune under the title Utawarerumono: Past and Present Rediscovered. The PC version will support English, Japanese, and Chinese language options, while the console versions will be Japanese only.

The game is a sequel to Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten, taking place prior to the events of Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception. It follows Oshtor and his allies on a new adventure after they return as heroes to the empire of Yamato. However, various incidents and monster appearances soon cast a shadow over the land. The game features the same turn-based combat of Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten as opposed to the tactical combat of other titles in the series.
