Aquaplus Announces Utawarerumono: Shiro e no Michishirube

Aquaplus announced a new title in its Utawarerumono visual novel RPG series. The new game is titled Utawarerumono: Shiro e no Michishirube, and is planned to release in Japan in 2025, though platforms has not yet been announced. It is being worked on by many returning staff members from previous titles in the series including scenario writer Suga Munemitsu, character designers Suga Tatsuki Amazuyu and Misato Mitsumi, and music director Naoya Shimokawa.

Few details about Utawarerumono: Shiro e no Michishirube have been revealed at this time. In an article on Famitsu, Aquaplus chief operating officer and executive producer Naoya Shimokawa stated that it will be a will be a “culmination that encompasses everything in the Utawarerumono series”. The game will feature gameplay built upon that of prequel title Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten.
