Developer Edia announced that it has signed a licencing agreement with developer Nihon Falcom. The agreement will see Edia releasing ports for a number of classic titles originally released for PC Engine CD-ROM² (TurboGrafx-CD) in Japan. The games will be released in Japan sometime between the 2026 and 2027 financial years. Platforms have not been announced, thouh Edia’s other recent port collections have been released primarily on Nintendo Switch.

  • Ys I & II (1989, developed by Alfa System)
  • Ys III: Wanderers from Ys (1991)
  • Ys IV: The Dawn of Ys (1993, developed by Hudson Soft)
  • Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes (1991)
  • Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes II (1992)
  • The Legend of Xanadu (1994)
  • The Legend of Xanadu II (1995)

Ys I & II are the first two games in the Ys action RPG series, introducing the series’ red-haired protagonist Adol and the early games’ bump combat system. Ys III: Wanderers from Ys takes place three years after the events of the previous games and later received a full remade with  Ys: The Oath in Felghana. Ys IV: The Dawn of Ys is one of two titles given the Ys IV moniker alongside Tonkin House’s Ys IV: Mask of the Sun. They have since been supplanted by Ys: Memories of Celceta as the canon “Ys IV” entry.

Although given the Dragon Slayer label, Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes and Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes II are not connected to other titles in the action RPG series and instead act as the first two titles in the turn-based The Legend of Heroes series. Both games take place in the world of Isrenhasa. The first game puts players in the role of Prince Serios, who is forced to flee from the Farlalyne Kingdom when it is beset by monsters, while the second game takes place some years after the first one, with players controlling Prince Atlas, the son of Serios.

The Legend of Xanadu and The Legend of Xanadu II are part of the Xanadu action RPG series, itself a spin-off from Xanadu: Dragon Slayer II. The two games put players in the role of the knight Arios, who becomes shipwrecked at the start of each title. They feature both top-down and side-scrolling gameplay elements.
