Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.7 Update, Xbox Series X|S Release Announced

HoYoverse made a pair of announcements for free-to-play action RPG Zenless Zone Zero. The first is that its Version 1.7 update, “Bury Your Tears with the Past”, will release on April 23, 2025. The update is considered the finale of the game’s Season One and sees players uncover the truth of the Sacrifice crisis. It adds two new characters — Vivian, an Ether Anomaly Agent, and Hugo, an ice attack agent — as well as other in-game events and challenges.

In addition, HoYoverse announced that the game will be released on Xbox Series X|S. The Xbox Series X|S version will release in June, alongside the game’s Version 2.0 update, with the game also being available on the Xbox Cloud Gaming service.

Zenless Zone Zero is set in the post-apocalyptic metropolitan city of New Eridu and is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android. The city is the only place to have survived a supernatural disaster in which gateways to perilous dimensions called Hollows appear and expand. Players control Proxies, those who guide others exploring the Hollows.
