Dragon Age: The Veilguard Character Creator Gets Standalone Release

EA and BioWare have released a standalone version of the character creator for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Released as part of “Dragon Age Day 2024”, it is available for free on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S and lets players create their own version of protagonist Rook, who can be transferred to the full game on the same platform. In addition, the companies announced that the game’s fourth patch is now live, which adds outfit options based on Dragon Age II’s Hawke, plus other quality of life changes and bug fixes.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is the fourth game in the fantasy series and takes players to the northern part of the continent of Thedas. Players create a new protagonist named Rook, who is tasked with stopping two ancient Elven gods who have escaped their prison. They are joined by seven companions: Harding the Scout, Neve the Detective, Lucanis the Mage Killer, Bellara the Veil Jumper, Emmrich the Necromancer, Davrin the Warden, and Taash the Dragon Hunter.
