Path of Exile 2 Endgame Content Revealed

Grinding Gear Games held a presentation for its upcoming Path of Exile 2. The hour-long video, presented by Game Directors Jonathan Rogers and Mark Roberts, provided a preview for the free-to-play action RPG’s upcoming Early Access release and content. In addition to showing off the game’s classes, Support Gems, and version of the Passive Skill Tree, it also includes a first look at the endgame map system as well as its implementation of a number of leagues from the first Path of Exile.

Path of Exile 2 is set many years after the events of Path of Exile, though all cosmetic purchases made on either game will be shared between them. The game will feature a brand new six-act main storyline as well as twelve starting character classes with each class also having three Ascendancy specialisations. Players will also be able to freely adjust their character build and utilise skills from other classes, while the new endgame features over 100 maps and co-op for up to six players. In order to allow players to try out the endgame in Early Access, the initial version will feature the first three acts of the campaign, which are then repeated on a harder “cruel” difficulty option so that player characters will be an appropriate level for the endgame content.
