Path of Exile 2 Console Versions Getting Simultaneous Early Access

Developer and publisher Grinding Gear Games revealed that its free-to-play action RPG Path of Exile 2‘s PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions will receive simultaneous Early Access releases alongside its PC and Mac versions. All versions of the game will support cross-play and cross-progression. In addition, all versions of the game will feature couch co-op mode, allowing players to play collaboratively with others on a single account or log in with two separate accounts on the same PC or console.

Path of Exile 2 will be completely separate from Path of Exile, though all cosmetic purchases made on either game will be shared between them. The game will feature a brand new six-act main storyline, said to include 100 distinct environments, 600 monsters, and 100 bosses as well as twelve starting character classes — two classes for each possible combination of Strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence — though players will be able to freely adjust their character build and utilise skills from other classes. The game’s Early Access release is planned for later in 2024.

Fascinated by the screens since I saw them, video games are a sorcery I quickly became obsessed with. This passion culminated with the discovery of the RPGs. At that time, they were likely the sole titles where story and world building mattered as much as gameplay. Now, I am writing about them, especially my favorite ones: the JRPGs!
