Crystar Coming to PlayStation 5 in Japan
Developer and publisher Furyu announced that it will be releasing a PlayStation 5 version of its action RPG Crystar in Japan. The PlayStation 5 version will launch digitally and physically in the country on February 27, 2025, with no news regarding a western release as of yet. The company also revealed a Digital Art Book Edition, which includes a digital copy of the game and 80-page digital art book. The PlayStation 5 version will include all the previous DLC from the PlayStation 4 release.
Crystar initially released on PlayStation 4 and PC in 2019 before being ported to Nintendo Switch in 2022. The game is themed around the afterlife, and follows Rei Hatada, a young girl who supposedly kills her younger sister Mirai after being drawn into Purgatory.
