Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Voice Cast Revealed

Developer Sandfall Interactive revealed the primary cast for its upcoming title Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. A new trailer introduces many of the game’s major characters, with the revealed cast members as follows:

• Charlie Cox (Daredevil: Born Again, Stardust) as Gustave. He is a dedicated engineer devoting his final year of life to defeating the Paintress.
• Jennifer English (Baldur’s Gate III, Elden Ring) as Maelle. She is a shy loner who joins the Expedition to explore the world beyond Lumière.
• Kirsty Rider (The Sandman, Sifu) as Lune. She is a passionate scholar and mage looking to uncover the mystery of the Paintress.
• Shala Nyx (The Old Guard, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty) as Sciel. A serene warrior, she has long accepted the state of the world is unburdened by potential failure.
• Andy Serkis (The Lord of the Rings, Black Panther) as Renoir. A passionate man, he is fully prepared to pay the sacrifice needed for victory.
• Ben Starr (Final Fantasy XVI, Warframe: 1999) as Verso. He is an unknown outsider who tracks the expedition.
• Rich Keeble (Good Omens), Devora Wilde (Baldur’s Gate III), Tracy Wiles (Baldur’s Gate III) and Maxence Cazorla (Ineffable) are also cast in currently-unannounced roles.

The game is set in a world where, once a year, a being called the Paintress wakes and paints a cursed number upon a monolith, which causes everyone of that age to turn to smoke and disappear. Each year, that number ticks down, with the current year set to be the number 33. Players join Gustave and other members of an expedition that sets out, in the footsteps of previous failed expeditions, to try and end the cycle of death once and for all.

Players will be able to create their own builds for their party with gear, attributes, skills, and synergies. Combat will utilise a free aim system to let players target weak points, as well as to dodge, parry, and counter in real time. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is in development for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and is currently planned to release in spring 2025. Physical editions are planned to release in collaboration with Maximum Entertainment in North America and with Bandai Namco in Europe.
