Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Update Adds Battle Retry Option

Sandfall Interactive has released a new update for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. The version 1.4.0 update includes a new pop-up window that appears after players are defeated, which offers the option to immediately retry the battle. It also includes an optional autoplay for dialogue outside of cutscenes, plus additional fixes and improvements.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a turn-based RPG with combat that utilises a free aim system to let players target weak points, as well as to dodge, parry, and counter in real time. The game is set in a world where a being called the Paintress wakes and paints a cursed number upon a monolith, which causes everyone of that age to turn to smoke and disappear. As the number counts down, expeditions set out in the footsteps of previous failures to try and end the cycle of death once and for all. The game is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
