Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with details on all of the RPGs released in the last week. Please note we do not currently include Early Access releases where the game is still in development.

Fantasy hack-and-slash RPG 9th Dawn Remake is a remake of the first game in the 9th Dawn series. It is set on the island of Montelorne, where players assume the role of an adventurer who searches for hidden treasures and helps the Montelornians in need while facing the threat posed by rising undead armies. Players can choose from a variety of classes for their character, each with its own playstyle. The remake features 2.5D graphics, a first-person mode, remade dungeons, a rewritten story, two new mini-games, two-player online and local co-op, and more.

Beyond Galaxyland features 2.5D locations and blends platforming, puzzle solving, and turn-based combat. It takes place in a futuristic setting, where the Earth has been destroyed by a celestial being known as “The End”. Players assume the role of Doug, a human high school student who gets transported to a region of space called Galaxyland prior to the Earth’s destruction. Bloomtown: A Different Story is a turn-based RPG with social sim and monster-taming elements. The game is set in a world inspired by 1960s Americana. However, its appearance is a facade for a demon world that is growing beneath it. Players control Emily and her friends as they investigate when children start disappearing. Players will battle otherwordly creatures that embody Bloomtown’s citizens’ vices and fears in the Underside to help save their souls, summoning the party’s inner demons as well as those captured in battle.
Dragonero: The Rise of Draquir

Turn-based fantasy RPG Dragonero: The Rise of Draquir is based on the Dragonero Italian comic series by Sergio Bonelli Editore. The game features five playable characters, each with their own storyline available before they join forces for the main campaign. It is set in the open world of Erondàr, which features a mixture of procedurally generated and hand-crafted dungeons. The longer the party spends in a dungeon, the greater the danger and rewards it offers, with the game featuring resting mechanics that let players craft, hunt, and heal before resuming their adventure.

Players are able to purchase a complete bundle with the Pixel Remaster versions of Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy V, and Final Fantasy VI, or all of the games individually. The Xbox release includes the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions’ ability to choose between rearranged and original soundtracks, as well as between a new pixel-based font and the font used on the PC, iOS, and Android releases. There are also gameplay boost features, such as switching off random encounters and applying experience multipliers from 0x to 4x.

Flowstone Saga is set in Ocean’s End, a collection of backwater islands that becomes the site for a showdown between the navy of the Byzankar Republic and the pirate king Borras Crimm. The game stars Mirai, a young woman who arrived at Ocean’s End’s biggest town of New Riverstone a year before the events of the game and made it her home. It features puzzle-based combat where players must arrange falling blocks to deal damage to enemies or perform various skills and lets players opt for turn-based or real-time gameplay.
Legend of Mana Remastered

Legend of Mana Remastered is an enhanced version of the fourth game in the Mana series, which was released for PlayStation. The game sees players setting off into the world of Fa’Diel to find the Mana Tree, only to discover the world is empty. Players find special artifacts that can be placed down, adding new towns and dungeons, with the story changing based on player decisions. Ravenswatch

Ravenswatch is a top-down action roguelike. Players control heroes of tales and legends as they slay hordes of nightmarish creatures. It can be played solo or in co-op with up to four players. The game had been in Early Access since 2023. Meanwhile, PlayStation and Xbox console versions are planned to launch on November 28, 2024, with a Switch release set for 2025.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom puts Princess Zelda in the protagonist role as the people of Hyrule, including Link, are stolen away by strange rifts. The game sees Zelda gaining a tool called the Tri Rod, which is bestowed on her when she partners with the fairy Tri. The Tri Rod allows Zelda to create echoes of things found in the environments she explores, which can be used to solve puzzles and defeat enemies.
The Nameless: Slay Dragon

Turn-based RPG The Nameless: Slay Dragon features inspiration from gamebooks and has a heavy emphasis on exploration without random battles or forced grinding. It includes over 20 different classes with skills that can be mixed and matched, a crafting system that allows players to create items and equipment, skill customization, and optional bosses. Player choices also play a major role and help determine which of the multiple endings they arrive at.
Trials of Mana

Trials of Mana is a full remake of Super Famicon title Seiken Densetsu 3 and is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. Players select their primary protagonist and two companions from a roster of six characters before journeying through the Holy Kingdom of Wendel and engaging in action combat. The remake includes an additional post-game chapter that provides access to an extra set of character classes. Worlds of Aria

Tabletop-inspired RPG adventure Worlds of Aria sees players build a four-character party and set out on a dungeon crawling experience reminiscent of classic tabletop adventures. Players can set out solo in single player, or join together with friends in local, online, or cross-platform cooperative multiplayer. Dice-rolling mechanics will determine if player choices help them advance or lead to catastrophe.
