NIS America Details Reynatis, NEO: The World Ends with You Crossover

NIS America released a new trailer and details for upcoming action RPG Reynatis. The update focuses on the game’s planned crossover with Square Enix’s NEO: The World Ends with You, with both games set in versions of Shibuya. The crossover sees the characters finding Reaper Pins and being transported into a different version of Shibuya that is home to enemies called Noise. There they meet Shoka Sakurane, who reveals that they are unable to leave until they win the Reaper’s Game.

In addition, NIS America released a few extra screenshots showing a faction called the Guild and some of the bosses in the game. The Guild is a group that believes wizards should rule the world, with rumours tying them to some illegal drugs. Bosses can be very large, with one shown as a statue-like figure who seems to get power from praying mannequins around him, while another uses eight tentacles to assault players, including throwing objects at them.

Developed by FuRyu and Natsume-Atari, Reynatis is set in a version of modern Shibuya that blends fantasy and reality. Magic is feared by the citizens of this Shibuya, meaning wizards are forced to conceal their identities and powers, with an organisation called the MEA dedicated to keeping wizards under control. It has six playable characters with two competing main protagonists on the sides of freedom and order. The game will release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch in Japan on July 25, 2024, with releases in North America and Europe following on September 27, 2024. A PC version will also release worldwide on September 27, 2024.
