Fable Reboot Talks Heroism

During the Xbox Games Showcase 2024, developer Playground Studios released a new trailer for the upcoming action RPG Fable, a reboot of the series of the same name. The two-minute-long video sees Humphry, the once greatest hero of Albion, explaining what it means to be a hero. In addition, Playground Studios revealed that Eidos-Montreal will be supporting the ongoing development of the game.

The Fable series was created by Lionhead Studios and saw three mainline titles, plus a number of spin-off games. The series is known for its open world, humour, and morality system, with its settings strongly resembling Britain from medieval times up through the industrial revolution. The reboot is in development for PC and Xbox Series X|S, with a release planned in 2025.
