Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Purgatory Announced

Developer and publisher Different Tales announced dark fantasy RPG Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Purgatory. The title is set in the World of Darkness universe and combines visual novel and tabletop RPG, with its prequel Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Heart of the Forest cited as inspiration.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Purgatory puts the player in the role of Samira, who is an Afghan werewolf refugee fleeing her motherland. The player is tasked with uncovering supernatural conspiracies and fighting a threat known as the Wyrm. The game will feature characters from Heart of the Forest and two different story paths, where players can resort to manipulation, intimidation, or violence. Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Purgatory is set to release on PC (via Steam) in Q3 2024. A demo is currently available on the game’s Steam page.

Fascinated by the screens since I saw them, video games are a sorcery I quickly became obsessed with. This passion culminated with the discovery of the RPGs. At that time, they were likely the sole titles where story and world building mattered as much as gameplay. Now, I am writing about them, especially my favorite ones: the JRPGs!
