Backpack Hero to Fully Release in May

Publisher Different Tales announced that it is partnering with developer Jaspel for the release of “inventory management roguelike” Backpack Hero. The publisher announcement for the game, which has been on Steam Early Access since August 2022, comes with the news that it is planned to fully release for PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch in May 2023.

Backpack Hero puts players in the role of an adventurer taking on dungeons and foes with only what they can fit in their backpack. Inventory management is crucial, with items potentially having different effects when placed into different areas in the backpack. Players can also upgrade their base town and rescue animals, unlocking new overworld content.
