Backpack Hero Heading to Early Access in August

Developer Jaspel announced that “inventory management roguelike” Backpack Hero will be available on Steam Early Access on August 15, 2022. The game is expected to spend around seven months in Early Access, with players able to undergo a complete run on the initial Early Access version. A demo is currently available to try out via Steam.

Backpack Hero puts players in the role of an adventurer taking on dungeons and foes with only what they can fit in their backpack. Inventory management is crucial, with items potentially having different effects when placed into different areas in the backpack. Players can also upgrade their base town and rescue animals, unlocking new overworld content.
