Hades II Technical Test Sign-ups Begin

Developer Supergiant Games began a technical test for its upcoming roguelike Hades II. Those interested in participating can sign-up on the game’s Steam page using the “Request Access” action. The players whose access request is accepted will receive an email from Steam with download instructions. While no schedule has been specified yet, the developer estimates the test won’t last longer than a month. Full details pertaining to the technical test can be found here. Supergiant Games held a three-hour-long gameplay stream, which can be viewed below.

Hades II and its predecessor are inspired by Greek mythology, particularly its underworld. The game takes place some time after the previous game, though no knowledge of its events will be required. Players control Melinoë, the immortal Princess of the Underworld and brother of previous protagonist Zagreus, as she faces off against the Titan Chronos’s forces. The game is planned to release on Steam Early Access later this year.

Fascinated by the screens since I saw them, video games are a sorcery I quickly become obsessed with. This passion culminated with the discovery of the RPGs. At that time, they were likely the sole titles where story and world building mattered as more as gameplay. Now, I am, writing about them, especially my favorite ones: the JRPGs!
