The First Descendant Set for Summer, New Trailer Released

Nexon revealed that its free-to-play co-op looter shooter The First Descendant is now planned to release in summer 2024. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The announcement came with a new cinematic trailer that showed previously revealed playable characters Valby and Viessa, plus a new face. The developer also released a new developer note from producer Lee Beom-jun discussing feedback from the game’s recent open beta.

The First Descendant takes place on a world that mixes sci-fi and fantasy, and features co-op for up to four players. Players control a Descendant, one tasked with defending the Ingris continent and fighting against alien invaders to help ensure the survival of humanity. Those looking to read more about the game can check out RPGamer’s impression from early access to its open beta in September.
