Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Trailer Shows Its New Quests

Bandai Namco released a new trailer for Tales of Arise‘s upcoming Beyond the Dawn expansion. The four-minute video showcases some of the new quests included in the expansion, plus other content including a large new dungeon. It should be noted that the video contains spoilers for the main Tales of Arise game.

Beyond the Dawn takes place a year after the events of the main game. It sees Alphen and the party hailed as heroes in Dahna but reviled by the Renans. The group meet a young girl called Nazamil, who is the daughter of a Renean lord and a Dahnan. The expansion is said to include twenty-plus hours of content, with a story arc revolving around the “curse of the mask”. Beyond the Dawn will release on November 9, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

Tales of Arise is set on the twin planets Rena and Dahna, with Rena holding dominion over Dahna for the past 300 years. The two main protagonists are Alphen and Shionne. Alphen is a young man in an iron mask who is unable to feel pain and who aims to free the people of Dahna. Shionne is a woman from Rena whose touch inflicts pain and who decides to join Alphen in his fight against Rena.
