New World: Rise of the Angry Earth Expansion Announced

Amazon Games announced its first full expansion for MMORPG New World. The Rise of the Angry Earth expansion is planned for launch for PC on October 3, 2023. It will be available for $29.99, or included in the $69.99 New World: Elysian Edition along with the full game.

Rise of the Angry Earth offers a new story chapter for the game. It sees the southeastern tip of Aeternum, formerly known as First Light, falling to the forces of the Artemis and the Angry Earth, with a deadly barrier surrounding the area. The result surge of power in thel and has also awoken another potential threat in the Beast Lords.

The expansion will raise the game’s level cap to 65, as well as add a new transformed Zone, new gear rarity, the new flail weapon type, a new endgame Expedition, and more. It will also allow players to summon mounts including horses, dire wolves, and lions, which can be customised with dyeable equipment. The expansion will launch alongside the game’s Season 3 content, with more details available on the game’s official blog.
