Ravenbound Gets New Update, Hammer DLC

Developer Systemic Reaction released both a free update and DLC for its open-world action roguelite Ravenbound. The version 1.1 update removes the game’s Apex Connect requirement, letting players play online or offline, as well as adding a new skill tree, new hidden treasures, and various balance adjustments. Meanwhile, the Hammers of Ávalt DLC is available for free on Steam until July 13, 2023 — after which it will cost $3.99 — and adds the new hammers weapon type with thirteen different hammer models.

Ravenbound puts players in control of the Vessel for a weapon called the Raven in the Scandinavian-inspired fantasy world of Ávalt. The Raven has been forged by the gods to rid the land of darkness. However, this task will take many lifetimes to accomplish and so the gods allow each Vessel to pass down their wisdom to the next. The game released for PC earlier this year.
