Ravenbound Dev Diary Provides Welcome to Ávalt

Systemic Reaction released a new developer diary video for its upcoming title Ravenbound. The three-minute video features Lead Game Designer Simon Laserna, Lead Combat Designer Brook Chometsky, and Narrative Designer Josefine Folkesson. It highlights the open-world action roguelite’s card-based build system, its hack-and-slash combat system, and its Scandinavian-inspired fantasy world of Ávalt.

Ravenbound puts players in control of the Vessel for a weapon called the Raven. The Raven has been forged by the gods to rid the land of darkness. However, this task will take many lifetimes to accomplish and so the gods allow each Vessel to pass down their wisdom to the next. Ravenbound is in development for PC. It does not yet have a release window, but is available to wishlist on Steam.
