Dragon’s Dogma 2 Gets First Media, Details

Capcom released the first media and details for action RPG Dragon’s Dogma 2. The follow-up to 2012’s Dragon’s Dogma — which later received an expanded version titled Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen — is in development for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. A release window has not yet been announced.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 begins in an underground jail. Players once again control a character known as the Arisen, whose heart is stolen by the dragon. They set out to slay the destructive beast, fulfill a forgotten destiny, and claim the throne.

The game’s world features a new beastren race and sees players joined by up to three otherwordly beings called Pawns. These Pawns have their characters, skills, and knowledge based on their time with Arisen from other worlds. The game’s combat and engine make heavy use of physics and companion AI, with players able to utilise different vocations and abilities covering melee and ranged weapons as well as magic.
