The DioField Chronicle Update Releasing March 5

Square Enix and Lancarse announced that the free content update for tactical RPG The DioField Chronicle will be released internationally on March 5, 2023. The update adds a new boss and a new story scenario focusing on Waltaquin Redditch, as well as an additional New Game+ option and a new Very Hard difficulty setting. The story content is accessible after chapter five in the main game and will grant players access to the new Grimoire weapon and new Necromancy skills.

The DioField Chronicle is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. The game is set on a continent ravaged by a war between the Empire and the Alliance. DioField Island’s Kingdom of Alletain is the only nation so far to have avoided the bloodshed, but soon finds itself drawn into the conflict due to its abundance of Jade, a mineral vital as an ingredient in magic.
