The DioField Chronicle Getting Free Update in March

Square Enix announced it will be releasing a free update for real-time tactical RPG The DioField Chronicle. The update will launch in March 2023 and add a new story scenario focusing on Waltaquin Redditch. The new story will be accessible after chapter five in the main game and will grant players access to the new Grimoire weapon and new Necromancy skills. The update will also add a new Extra Mode to its New Game+ mode, where high-level enemies appear from the start, as well as a new Very Hard difficulty setting.

The DioField Chronicle is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. The game is set on a continent ravaged by a war between the Empire and the Alliance. DioField Island’s Kingdom of Alletain is the only nation so far to have avoided the bloodshed, but soon finds itself drawn into the conflict due to its abundance of Jade, a mineral vital as an ingredient in magic.
