The DioField Chronicle Gets September Japanese Release Date

Square Enix announced that tactical RPG The DioField Chronicle will release in Japan on September 22, 2022. The game will launch for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Square Enix has not yet officially confirmed if the western release will be on the same date. The Japanese release date announcement comes with a new trailer, viewable below.

The DioField Chronicle is a fantasy strategy RPG featuring the “Real-Time Tactical Battle” combat system and is being co-developed by Square Enix and Lancarse. The game’s story focuses on the Kingdom of Alletain, which has enjoyed peace under the Shaytham dynasty for the last 200 years but finds itself under threat from two outside powers competing for its abundance of Jade, which is key for using magic. Players control an elite mercenary company called into action known as Blue Fox.
