Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Details Fourth Title Update

Capcom has released new information regarding the fourth title update to Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. Free Title Update 4, which arrives on Nintendo Switch and PC on February 7, 2023, will include new monsters to fight, new Anomaly Research content, Event Quests, and paid DLC.

The first of the two new monsters available is Velkhana, previously the flagship monster of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. Velkhana exudes ice, and is able to freeze hunters with its breath and form ice pillars on the battlefield. advanced form of the Elder Dragon whose true nature has yet to be determined as it was considered too dangerous to study. Velkhana will be available at MR 10 while Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax will be available at MR 160.

Anomaly Research quests will also see an expansion, with Afflicted Chaotic Gore Magala joining the high rank quests. The Anomaly Investigation rank will see its maximum increase to 220, with Elder Dragons beginning to appear at rank 111. New Event Quests will continue to be added every week, with two new dual threat quests featuring Seething Bazelgeuse and Chaotic Gore Magala plus a new Arena Quest with Furious Rajang and Scorned Magnamalo. New layered armors for the rookie hunter Lance Gunn and Ran Page will also be added alongside other premium DLC.
