New Release Round-Up (July 7, 2022)

Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with details on all of the RPGs released over the week. Please note we do not currently include Early Access releases where the game is still in development.


Overrogue

Overrogue is a deckbuilding roguelite. The game sees players participating in a Selection Battle to decide the next Overlord. Players traverse dungeons and collect crystals to prove their credentials, with the game featuring five different dungeon themes as players build up their deck.


Ruins Magus

Platform: PC
Publisher: Mastiff

Available: Steam, Meta Quest Store
Price: $34.99

VR RPG Ruins Magus is set in the city of Grand Amnis, which is built on top of a set of ruins. Players take on the role of a novice ruin hunter partnered with rookie researcher Iris and look to uncover some of the ruins’ mysteries. The game will see players face off against the ruins’ guardians, using magic to attack and a shield to block and parry.


Solasta: Crown of the Magister

Platform: Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S (previously released on PC, Mac)
Publisher: Tactical Adventures

Price: $39.99 (or included as part of Xbox Game Pass subscription service)

Party-based RPG Solasta: Crown of the Magister utilises the Dungeons & Dragons SRD 5.1 ruleset and features a story campaign with players creating their own party of adventurers, with combat that makes heavy use of verticality. Those looking to read more about Solasta: Crown of the Magister can check out Phil Willis’ review of its PC version. The game’s current DLC is also available to purchase separately.
