Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with details on all of the RPGs released over the week. Please note we do not currently include Early Access releases where the game is still in development.

Tower defense and dungeon-crawling RPG hybrid Dwerve casts players as a young dwarven tinkerer who adventures into a ruined kingdom. There he discovers lost technologies of turrets and traps to help dwarvenkind fight off Witch-Queen Vandra and her army. During combat players place turrets and traps while assisting with their own attacks, including a boomerang. Players can uncover new abilities by finding artifacts, as well as upgrading their turrets, each with its own upgrade tree.
Empyre: Dukes of the Far Frontier

“Neo-Victorian” RPG Empyre: Dukes of the Far Frontier is a follow-up to Empyre: Lords of the Sea Gates. The game is set in an alternate version of the Wild West around the year 1925. It takes place around the city of Bliss in Monument Valley, which is built atop giant pillars by robots called Mekanikals and acts as a utopia while the rest of America is plagued by disasters. Players arrive in the city anticipating a carefree life before they start uncovering its secrets.

Fishing RPG Fishing Paradiso starts with the player character having died but making it into Heaven. Upon first awakening in the afterlife, they find themselves on a tiny island in the ocean with only a small bird to keep them company. However, they are soon given a boat and a skyPhone with which they can embark on fishing expeditions, upgrade gear, and take on requests from other denizens of the afterlife. The game features over 90 species of fish to catch with players able to customise their own cabana.

Action RPG Maglam Lord follows Killizerk, a demon lord who has recently lost their powers after spending many years asleep, with players able to pick between a male or female version of Killizerk. The game originally released for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, with PQube releasing it in North America and Europe, and sees Killizerk attempting to restore their powers while coming to terms with a world where they are the only demon left. Pinku Kult: Hex Mortis is a turn-based RPG set in the demon-infested metropolis of Razore City. Players control an expendable denizen of the city, hired by Shōkan Corp to investigate mysterious goings-on, which are said to be caused by a girl wearing a fox mask.

Platforming RPG Souldiers puts players in the role of a fighter battling for freedom in Terragaya, a land on the border between life and death. There are three classes to choose from — scout, caster, or archer — each with its own attacks and attributes as well as a skill tree that lets players customise their character build. Physical PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch copies are currently available to pre-order from Pix’n Love Games’ international and French online stores.
Unexplored 2: The Wayfarer’s Legacy

Unexplored 2: The Wayfarer’s Legacy is an action roguelite that tasks players with destroying the mysterious Staff of Yendor. Character death is permanent, but players are given the option of guiding a new hero to pick up the mantle of their predecessor, or starting fresh with a new adventurer in a brand new world.
