DANGEN Entertainment Makes Multiple Announcements

Publisher DANGEN Entertainment held its 5th Year Anniversary Show broadcast, during which it made multiple RPG release announcements. The company revealed it is publishing Manalith Studios’ Dungeon Drafters. The game is a tile-based dungeon crawler with roguelite and deckbuilding elements. Players choose one of six characters and explore ancient ruins to find new spell cards and create a legendary spell deck able to save the world. It is being developed for PC and Linux and is planned to release on Steam, though a date has not been announced.

DANGEN Entertainment announced a June 6, 2022, release date for Altari Games’ Metroidvania Lost Ruins. The game will release digitally on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. It sees players control an amnesiac young girl who wakes up in a dimly lit dungeon. A mysterious magician named Beatrice helps her survive and fight against the dungeon’s monsters while looking for the secret behind it and her memories. The game includes physical and magic attack options, with players able to make use of the environment.

The publisher also revealed an English release date for Vestaria Project’s Vestaria Saga II: The Sacred Sword of Silvanister. The tactical RPG and follow-up to Vestaria Saga I: War of the Scions will launch for PC via Steam and GOG.com on July 28, 2022. Like its predecessor, Vestaria Saga II’s development is led by creator Shouzou Kaga. The game released in Japan in 2019, with its English release set to include new music, an upgraded resolution (1280 x 720), game completion bonuses, the ability to save every turn, an auto-save, rebalanced difficulty, and more.

In addition, multiple titles are receiving major updates. Isometric rogue-lite tactical RPG Evertried — which launched on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in 2021 — will receive a beta floor editor that lets players create and share encounters, as well as a bug-reporting tool. Meanwhile, Metroidvania Batbarian: Testament of the Primordials — also available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch — will gain a new challenge mode separate to the main campaign. It will give players special levels to complete, unlocked based on achievement progress, including boss rush and gallery challenges. The updates for both games are available today on PC and will release on consoles at a later date. Finally, Orange Pylon Games’ roguelike monster-taming RPG Abomi Nation is getting an update on PC today that adds multiple new monsters, including a collaboration with Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling, as well as a fast battle mode and new attacks, abilities, and biomes. The game is also getting a console release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch at a later date.

DANGEN Entertainment announced it is partnering with Limited Run Games to release a bundle pair of Stegosoft Games RPGs. The bundle will contain Ara Fell and Rise of the Third Power, with more details to be provided at a later date. The publisher also showed off new gameplay footage, including newly revealed co-op, for Kingdom of Night. The isometric action RPG takes place in a 1980s Arizona town and has unlikely protagonist John battling enemies from high school thugs to demon lords with an open-ended quest system. It is in development for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
