Acquire Announces Adventure Academia, Class of Heroes 2 Remaster

During a recent livestream, Acquire announced Adventure Academia: The Fractured Continent. The game is a new title set in the Class of Heroes world, though rather than being a dungeon-crawler, Adventure Academia features tactical combat. It is set to be released in Japan for PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch on September 8, 2022. An official English website indicates that an English PC release is coming, but has not been dated.

Adventure Academia: The Fractured Continent is set on the continent of Pedra, which is being slowly turned into a giant dungeon as monsters roam its lands. The game’s main protagonist is Alex, who journeys to find his missing father using the Ruler Orb artifact passed down through his family to command others. He is joined by childhood friend Citrin and advisor Lazuli.

The game sees players creating a party of adventuring students and sending them out to take on monsters. It features a real-time combat system with players able to use markers to guide their party members and pick them up to take them out of harm’s way. Students can be one of ten races and come with a mixture of over eighty personality traits.

In addition, Acquire announced a remaster for Class of Heroes 2. The dungeon-crawler was originally released in Japan for PlayStation Portable in 2009, with MonkeyPaw Games and Gaijinworks releasing it in North America in 2013. An enhanced Class of Heroes 2G version later released for PlayStation 3. The remaster will be released for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan, though a date has not been announced.
