Outward: Definitive Edition Launching Next Week

Prime Matter announced that Nine Dots Studio’s Outward: Definitive Edition will release for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on May 17, 2022. The game is an enhanced version of open-world RPG Outward, which released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2019. Definitive Edition will include the base game as well as its two DLC: The Three Brothers and The Soroboreans. It also includes quality-of-life and balance adjustments, as well as new content such as new dungeon encounters, new defeat scenarios, and new diseases.

Outward puts players in the role of a vulnerable inhabitant of the fantasy world of Aurai. The game features hardcore survival elements including wounds that can become infected plus the need for sleep and sustenance. It also features two-player cooperative multiplayer both locally and online. Those who already own Outward and The Three Brothers DLC will be able to redeem a free copy of the Definitive Edition.
