Outward Gets Free Update

Deep Silver and Nine Dots Studio have released a free update for open-world survival RPG Outward. The update is available now on PC, and is coming soon to consoles, and includes a new hardcore mode that has a chance of deleting the save if players are defeated, new hidden endgame boss fights, an improved legacy chest system, more endgame items, and a number of new supported languages. The update also adds poutine, with a full list of changes available here.

Outward was released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One earlier this year and puts players in the role of a vulnerable inhabitant of the fantasy world of Aurai. The game includes hardcore survival elements including wounds that can become infected plus the need for sleep and sustenance. It also features two-player cooperative multiplayer both locally and online.
