Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Adds Child of Light’s Aurora

505 Games announced that a free update for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night adds Child of Lights Aurora as a new playable character. Aurora wields the Sword of Matildis and is joined by her loyal companion Igniculus, who can act on his own to slow down enemies or heal Aurora. She is also able to use her directional Light Ray skill. Aurora gains power by absorbing shards from defeated enemies, while defeating certain bosses will grant her new movement abilities that grant access to new areas of the castle.

The update is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia, and will be available on Nintendo Switch soon. To play as Aurora, players simply need to start a new game and choose her in the character select screen.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a Metroidvania produced by former Castlevania lead producer Koji Igarashi. The game was released for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in 2019, with iOS and Android versions released in December 2020 and a Google Stadia version released in July 2021.
