Humble Games Showcases Upcoming Titles

Humble Games held a showcase for its upcoming games today, during which it made announcements for numerous titles, including some RPGs. Chief among these is Summerfall Studios’ Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical. Originally announced as Chorus, the game is written by David Gaider (lead writer for the Dragon Age series) and features music from composers including Austin Wintory.

Stray Gods takes place in a modern fantasy world where the Greek gods live hidden among the populace. The game follows Grace (played by Laura Bailey), who is granted the power of the last Muse. She is able to draw others into musical numbers as she investigates the death of her predecessor. Stray Gods is being developed for PC and is available to wishlist on Steam.

Humble Games also announced Nikko Nikko’s rhythm RPG Infinite Guitars. The game is set in a world where the remnants of humanity scavenge to survive following a war against the Mechs. Players control a party aiming to turn the Mechs’ technology against them after they reawaken to wreak destruction once more. The game’s combat looks to combine elements of turn-based, action, and rhythm games. Infinite Guitars is being developed for PC and is set to release via Steam in 2022.

Finally, the company announced a Steam Early Access release date for Curious Panda Games’ The Iron Oath. The Early Access version will launch on April 19, 2022, and include roughly fifteen hours of content. The game is a turn-based tactical RPG where players take charge of a mercenary company in the fantasy realm of Caelum. Players aim to increase their company’s renown while their mercenaries age and eventually retire and die. The Iron Oath is expected to spend around a year in Early Access.
