Retro Indie RPG The Secret of Varonis Unveiled

Indie developer Wombat Logic announced retro RPG The Secret of Varonis. The game is inspired by classic Game Boy RPGs, specifically the SaGa series. It is in development for PC and expected to release in late 2022.

The Secret of Varonis is set around the city of Varonis, which housed a portal that allowed visitors to come through and share technology and artifacts. However, the portal also allowed powerful monsters to come through, resulting in the city being abandoned and the portal sealed. Warrior twins Jonas and Janine set out to investigate the city but fail to return, so four village youths and their robot set out to rescue them.
