Focus Home Interactive Acquires Leikir Studio

Publisher Focus Home Interactive announced that it is acquiring Metal Slug Tactics developer Leikir Studio. The studio becomes the fifth to fall under Focus Home Interactive’s umbrella alongside Deck13, DotEmu, Douze Dixièmes, and Streum On.

The acquisition will not affect the release of Metal Slug Tactics, which is being published by Focus Home Interactive’s subsidiary DotEmu. The game is a tactical RPG take on the side-scrolling run-and-gun series, and sees the Peregrine Falcon Squad fighting on isometric maps. It is set to release on PC and Nintendo Switch in 2022.
