Pokémon Legends: Arceus Diamond and Pearl Clans Introduced

The Pokémon Company provided some new details and a trailer for the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The update introduces the Diamond Clan and the Pearl Clan, two groups living in the region of Hisui alongside the Galaxy Expedition Team that players are part of.

The Diamond Clan’s way of life focuses on cherishing the present and the bonds one currently has with their allies. Its leader Adaman​ is partnered with Leafeon and likes to rush into things. The Pearl Clan believes in valuing the region’s vast lands. Its leader Irida is partnered with Glaceon and is suspicious of new people but believes courage is vital for living in Hisui. Members of both the Diamond Clan and the Pearl Clan wear clothing that resembles certain Pokémon and refer to special Pokémon as lords and ladies, assigning wardens to serve them.

The update also introduces the Ginkgo Guild. This guild of merchants are not native to Hisui but venture its locations and sell the wares they gather on their travels. Members of the Ginkgo Guild include Ginter and Volo.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus offers a new approach for the series with its open, full-3D world. The game sees players venturing out to help create the region’s first Pokédex in Hisui, the past name of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl’s Sinnoh region. Pokémon Legends: Arceus will release for Nintendo Switch on January 28, 2022. The Pokémon Company also announced that those who have save data from Pokémon Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl receive a request that lets them encounter the Mythical Pokémon Darkrai.
