Everspace 2 2022 Development Roadmap Revealed

Rockfish Games announced its 2022 development roadmap for Early Access spaceship looter RPG Everspace 2. The first major update is planned for spring 2022 and includes a third light fighter subclass; improved trading, crafting, and resource gathering; new story content; new equipment; and more. It will also add language support for German, French, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Czech, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.

Summer will feature the game’s largest update to date, adding the new Drake star system to the game. It includes natural extremes, with three factions fighting for dominance over its abundant resources. New hazards in the system include lava geysers, while players will also be able to dive deep underwater to find treasures. Finally, an autumn update will introduce some end-game content. Ancient Rifts will provide players with new risk-versus-rewards challenges while they seek to find powerful and rare equipment.

Everspace 2 is a follow-up to Everspace, which released for PC, Mac, and Linux in 2017, with PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch versions following in 2018. Everspace 2 underwent a successful Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign in 2019. The game is currently in Early Access on PC, Mac, and Linux via Steam, GOG.com, and the Xbox Store with the full version set to be released for PC, Mac, Linux, and PlayStation and Xbox consoles in 2023.
