Dragon Quest X Offline Japanese Release Delayed

Square Enix announced that the Japanese release of Dragon Quest X: Rise of the Five Tribes Offline has been delayed. The game, previously planned to release in February, will now launch for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch in the summer of 2022. Its first expansion, The Sleeping Hero and the Guiding Ally, will follow in fall 2022.

Dragon Quest X Offline is a single-player version of MMORPG Dragon Quest X. Players begin as one of two customisable human siblings living in the village of Etene. The player character soon dies, but their soul is placed into the body of another person who died at the same time, from one of five different races. Players control a party of up to four characters with the ability to let AI control using basic tactics and an option to let AI take control for a single turn. No announcement has been made regarding a possible western release for Dragon Quest X Offline.
