Yo-kai Watch 1 Released on Mobile in Japan

Level-5 has released the first Yo-kai Watch game on iOS and Android in Japan. The mobile release follows the Nintendo Switch version, which released in Japan in 2019.

Yo-kai Watch was originally released for Nintendo 3DS. The game puts players in control of either Keita or Fumika (named Nate or Katie in the English version) as they befriend spirits called Yo-kai and use them to fight against other Yo-kai. The multimedia franchise currently consists of four mainline games — the first three of which are available in North America and Europe for Nintendo 3DS — as well as multiple spin-off games, smartphone apps, manga releases, and anime series and films.
