One-man developer Late Night Games’ cyberpunkdreams is a text-based RPG set in 2090s Cincinnati. Players take on the role of a newly arrived drifter, building up their character and embarking on quests, jobs, etc. The game is free-to-play with players able to spend money on credits that can be used for in-game items and increase their action pool. Those looking to read more about cyberpunkdreams can check out RPGamer’s impression of its beta version.
Jin Conception is billed as a “social deduction fantasy thriller turn-based JRPG” and follows eight playable characters whose stories intertwine. The game sees three characters enter a place called Final Layer, with two vanishing and the third returning but claiming to not know what happened. Combat takes place on the same screen as movement, with the system utilising a balance mechanic.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition
Mass Effect Legendary Edition is a remastered collection of BioWare’s original Mass Effect trilogy with quality-of-life improvements, gameplay fixes, and content rebalancing. Many of the adjustments are applied to the first game in the series, including aiming adjustments and tweaked combat features. The Legendary Edition contains the single-player story campaigns and DLC from all three games, plus promotional weapons and armor packs. The Mass Effect: Genesis comics created by Dark Horse are included for Mass Effect 2 and 3, so players can select major choices from previous titles if they do not wish to play through them.
Rise Eterna is a tactical RPG harkening back to certain Japanese tactical titles. The game lets players recruit up to fourteen characters, and features crafting elements and hidden challenges. It stars Lua, a young woman looking to uncover the mysteries surrounding her life.
