We Are the Caretakers Heading to Xbox

Heart Shaped Games announced its sci-fi tactical RPG We Are the Caretakers will be released on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The Xbox versions of the game will launch later in 2021, following the game’s Steam Early Access release on April 22, 2021.

Heart Shaped Games lists Darkest Dungeon, Ogre Battle, and XCOM as inspirations for We Are the Caretakers. The game is set on an afrofuturist planet when aliens make contact and show interest in a rhino-like species called the Raun. Players control the Conductor and attempt to protect the Raun from poachers by deploying squads of Caretakers. Players will be able to assemble up to nine squads, with the game including over twenty classes and over seventy abilities.
