Altered Alma Receives Updated Demo, Trailer

Publisher Critical Reflex and developer 2Awesome Studio have released an updated demo and new trailer for Altered Alma. The updated demo, available through Steam, includes expanded difficulty and accessibility settings, improved movement and combat, full control remapping, enhanced animatics, new and improved items, UI improvements, and a rework of the interior of the Esperanza ship that acts as the player’s base of operations.

An action RPG with Metroidvania elements, Altered Alma follows the adventures of Jack, an ex-mercenary pursued by her ancient comrades. The journey takes players to the streets of the cyberpunk city of Neo Barcelona, where Jack will have to face gangsters and mechanical horrors while assembling a crew for her spaceship, the Esperanza. The game is in development for PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, and underwent a successful Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign in 2024.
