New Monster Hunter Rise Trailer Arrives from Nintendo Direct

As a part of today’s Nintendo Direct, Capcom released a new trailer for Monster Hunter Rise. In addition to showing off some of the new monsters that will be appearing in the game, the trailer dedicated some time to the Rampage, a gameplay mode where players are tasked with defending the village from numerous monsters attacking at once. Players will have to utilize their weapons, defensive emplacements, and Wyvern Riding to prevent the invading monsters from breaking through the town’s defenses.

Monster Hunter Rise is the first game in the series designed for the Switch and will be arriving on the console on March 26, 2021. New features to the series include Palamutes, companions that can be ridden or aid during combat, and Wirebugs, a new form of traversal that allows for greater freedom in exploration and combat.
